Hello everyone,

After reading all the pro's and con's of the current STB's available, I think I've narrowed the selection down to three in order of preference:

TU-HDS20

DTC100

HD100

My question is - which one will do best with the XBR400 considering the XBR already has a built in line doubler. I would think the HD100 would be best, but the drop outs and fan noise bothers me. The HDS20 has fan noise and slow menus. The HDS20 also supports 480P, the HD100 doesn't, but the DTC100 does support 720P. The DTC100 has a line doubler as does the HDS20. Do I need this since the XBR already has one built in? So many choices... What do you all think?

Best regards

Tony

I'm using the hd-100 with an xbr400 and the combination seems to work rather well. I'm not sure what you mean by the hd-100 doesn't support 480p. I does support it, in that it receives it and will output it at 480i or 1080i. Those are the only two output formats for the hd-100. The Seattle Fox station broadcasts at 480p and their local news looks good output at 1080i. Art
