There's no OTA HDTV in the Springs area, and it won't be available until next May. The cable companies don't carry HD signals either. Your best bet is DirecTV or DISH, which only offer two or three HD channels at most. Although I hear HDNet is pretty cool on DirecTV.
I bought a new Sony KD-34XBR2 at Soundtrack in August. As it stands, I'm just mainly enjoying DVDs until OTA comes to the Springs.
"Direct View HDTV- is there really any other alternative?"
Before you start complaining too much, remember that next may is sooner than most people in the Denver/Boulder front range area will get OTA HD. Most people in South Denver and beyond will also be watching the Springs stations when they go on the air too. Fort Collins and Boulder will be watching Cheyenne. In the meantime, the only HD available to most around the Colorado area is from various satellite systems.
