I'm a newbie to this forum, so please forgive me if my questions are redundant.
I live in Orlando and currently have Time Warner digital cable and receive the 8 HDTV channels they offer. As amazingly clear as the HDTV channels are, the reception on the other channels are amazingly bad. I am moving to Winter Garden and am thinking of getting rid of cable and getting a basic DirecTV package since there is limited HDTV currently available via satellite.
Here are my questions:
1. What type of local channel HDTV reception can I expect to get over the air, and what type of antenna will I need?
2. I have never owned a satellite system before, but I expect the overall picture quality to be much better, am I correct?
3. I currently have a 55" Mitsubishi (WS-55311) which I am selling, and am thinking of getting the Samsung HLN507 - any input from Samsung owners would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!
