I want HDTV - but we don´t have it broadcast here in europe.

I have a business partner in USA, which is able to get HDTV.

My question:

What is needed to record a true HDTV-Signal (broadcast) and what will i need to playback this record. And i want "true" HDTV, nothing else http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif .

As projector will be used a Sony G90 9" CRT Projector which is full HDTV compatible.

Thanks a lot in advance.

And if anyone has the gear for sale which is needed, i am interested in !

Take care

Thomas

At this time, there are three different ways to record/playback HDTV:

- DVHS, digital video (full ATSC HDTV), and digital audio (Dolby Digital 5.1).

- PC Card to hard drive (same as above).

- WVHS, which is analog HDTV video & two channels of analog audio.

Since you will be dependent on a source for program material, it would seem DVHS or WVHS is the best solution for you.

Check our HDTV Recording Forum for in depth information on all of these possibilities.
