Hello,

hopefully this is in the right area. i have a mitsubishi wt42311 widescreen with a toshiba dst3000 hooked up with component cables for HDTV. the HD channels look great, but the other digital channels are less then desired. is it necessary to hook an additional svideo or composite cable to view the other stations that are not HD? I was hoping that the one cable hookup would toggle to 480i but is doesnt. any suggestions? thanks.

Can you toggle the receiver to 480i manually? I'm not familiar with that model receiver, but if all of its outputs are active simultaneously, then you should be able to connect the svideo too. Then switch to that input on the TV to watch SD.
