HDTV - TiVo- DVD Recorder?

I am trying to get recording capabilties to go with my HDTV. I have D* and right now I can record through my VCR, but only in SD and I can only record the channel that I am watching. Does anyone know if there is a way to get TiVo to record HDTV or get a DVD recorder that will burn DVD's from an an HDTV signal. As of right now, even if something is broadcast in HDTV, if I want to record it (like the chamionship game tonight) I would have to watch it in SD. Is there any way to have only one receiver and record one channel while watching another? Thanks
