I have a Dish 6000 and would like to hook up a second 18" dish to catch the HDTV programming. I am thinking of the following setup: I currently have 119 and 110 going into the left side of an SW42 switch and the outout running to the 6000. Would it be possible to run the combined output from the two into one of the sat. inputs on the right side of the SW42 and the satellite signal from 61.5 to the other input on this switch. In theory, this will combine the three satellite signals. I can then run this combined output to the Model 6000.

Any thoughts? Does each side of the SW42 operate independent of the other?

Thanks!

I guess they should be independent. But SW42 and SW21 are different. My setup is using output form SW42 into SW21 with 61.5 sat. It works well and I know use two SW21 combine 3 sat. did not work. So I guess using two SW42 will not work neither. But I am not sure. This may not help you anyway. But I believe you could try it. I do not think that is going to hurt you.
