I have a Sony 10HT. I also have the Sony 9000ES DVD player and DTC-100.

HDTV is breathtaking however, DVD quality leaves a little to be desired mainly in sharpness, clarity and depth. Color looks good but the picture is just a little fuzzy. I am curious as to how good of a DVD picture I should be getting and want to make sure I have the setup right.

I am using a high quality 25 ft component cable, I can switch to either the RGB or the RGBHV inputs on the projector and see no difference. Further more, I can switch from progressive to interlace on the player and see little to know difference either, the projector picks it up as 480p/60. (Maybe because of the projectors own line doubler?) I have no artifacts or any other quirks just a little lower wow quality picture than HDTV.

Will this and the other current high end progressive players be able to utilize the new superbit DVD's and if so will there be a dramatic improvement?

I hate to think I paid $1500 for a player which will be limited in future use.
