Just purchased a Mits WT-42311.

Curious of the TWC cable options for Hi-Def.

I currently have the standard service. I spoke with TWC rep and they said there is no extra change. All I need to do is exchange my box for a HD box.

So.

1. Is there a HD box of choice?

2. What channels are available and hows the reception?

3. Have you run into any hidden or extra costs.

I just want that standard HD service. No premium channels like HBO or Showtime.

Any other advice that you may have gathered in you Hi-Def journey.

Thanks,

Drew

Welcome to the world of HDTV. I also have TWC in Milwaukee (West Allis). Here's the scoop.

They are only giving out the SA3100HD converter box right now. (I am supposedly on top of the list for a new HD box when they become available)

They have the following channels

500 HBO

501 Showtime

504 NBC

505 CBS

506 Fox

510 PBS HD continuous loop

512 ABC

At times they post special channels like right now 513 carrying the NBA playoff games. Rumor is they will be carrying ESPNHD and DiscoveryHD shortly. The quality of these channels range from great too good. PBS has the best HD quality.

t will cost you nothing extra for HD. They will come over and switch your box with the SA3100HD box.
