HDTV2MPEG2 Question

883 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Diver
The R5000 creates large single .ts files.

I've had limited experience using HDTV2MPEG2 to edit .ts files. The resulting files are split .mpg files, no? Once the program edits out commercials, what do you do to convert them back into .ts files for easy playback with MyHD, etc.?

Thanks,

Joe Clark

Joe,

Creating mpeg files was H2's original purpose before becoming a simple TS editor. It will create split TS files too.

Can you edit out unwanted video from .ts files and write it back out to disk using Vegas?

Thanks.

Does Vegas Video output natively to WMV9? Could I use it to encode .ts files to WMV9 and bypass the multistep processes outlined in other parts of the forum? I'm not lazy, really, but I've had limited success trying to duplicate the results of others encoding high def files with WMV9.

Thanks,
