HDVR2 Tivo and analog locals

I have read a lot in the HDTV section about using directv receivers and being able to incoporate the OTA digital channels into the guide. Can you do this with the Hughes HDVR2 Directivo STB? I am talking about incoporating OTA analog channels, though, not digital channels.

No, because the HDVR2 is only a DirecTV tuner, unlike the HD receivers which have both satellite and off air tuners built into them.
OTA HDTV is a digital data stream similar in concept to a DirecTV feed. The advantage is that it can be dumped straight to hard disk and played back. This is pretty much the definition of a DirecTivo.

A stand alone Tivo has additional hardware to encode analog OTA standard definition TV and analog cable into a digital format so that it can be stored on the hard disk. The HDVR2 like all DirecTivos does not have this encoding capability nor does it have an analog tuner, so if you want locals on your HDVR2 you'll have to get them digitally through DirecTV.
