I'm obsessing a bit and driving myself crazy trying to make this final choice for a receiver. I'm looking at lower end models and have narrowed it down (I think) to these:
Denon AVR-587 =$300
http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/3248.asp
and
Harmon Kardon AVR-245 =$380
http://www.harmankardon.com/product_...C&prod=AVR+245
I currently have 4 ohm speakers but may be getting new ones soon.
I will want to hook up the receiver to my TV and Cable box for HT and also input my sirius satellite radio and iPod as well as a DVD player.
Both have zone 2 capability which I want but the Denon has B speaker connections as well.
Don't like the remote on the Denon (many buttons inside a cover in back)
HK has pre outs though I'm not sure what I'd really use them for (from a practical perspective for me). Also has 2 HDMI inputs (switches) how big a deal?
Is there anything I'm missing that is important to consider? I'm really just trying to determine which will be better for me so I'm hoping some input will ring a bell in my head and put one over the top.
Any help and input would be greatly appreciated.
