Isn't that the same speaker that Thylanter (could be wrong) and someone else were tearing apart due to that monstrosity of a baffle?

don't know. in any case i am the speaker authority here not Thylantyr. his function is to collect data on amplifier testing.
this speaker is most likely total c4ap. i can tell from how ugly it is and from the fact that they were obviously using drivers primarily for looks. they tried to imitate ATC with the large dome midrange and Dynaudio with overall layout. They also went for Volt woofers for dramatic effect.
frankly i don't know why anybody would pay $70,000 for something that looks like it was made in one's basement.
but the point is it looks HARDCORE. 4-way active and 4 x 15" professional woofers is just screaming BAD A$$.
i want more of you building speakers like this, only better. little 2-ways are for morons at stereophile to review.

so you think it looks over the top.
you probably think Dodge Viper ACR also looks over the top.
and yet it holds the fastest nurburgring lap time.
in other words Viper ACR looks fast because it IS fast.
if you were to build a speaker like this it wouldn't be so it looks cool. it would simply look cool as a result of a no compromise design.

( last time i watched those lap times Radical SR8 wasn't included, maybe it wasn't street legal or something )

I would not like a Viper in my living room either. I would much rather have a Sagaris.
I can't afford either. Seems to me, the Z06 holds the production car record around the ring. ( records change all the time) I suspect there is a gentleman in Sweden who would argue about that. So might "the stig" None of that matters. I prefer my speakers to be unobtrusive.
