Can someone please advise me??

In layman's terms, please explain the difference between the SONY KV-27FS100 27" and the SONY KV-27FS210 27"... and whether or not I should pay the $100 more to get the SONY KV-27FS210 27"?

I watch cable TV and DVD's and VCR tapes... and I'll probably get a TiVo at some point soon.

I'm moving into a small apartment in New York.

My viewing distance will likely be 7' or something like that.

Please e-mail back as soon as you have a chance.

Thanks,

Ryan

Assuming the 36" version is similar to the 27" version, the 210 adds picture in picture, another component input, and an "upgrade" in speakers. But you better check to make sure.

I'm looking at both of these and the Toshibas. Is it really only the PIP and speakers on the more expensive Sony?

heres direct links to both models:

If you want the highest picture quality look at the FV models ,these use 3D Digital Comb filters wich are suppose to further clean up the image vs. 3-Line digital comb filters, also if sound quality is important (not running home theater etc.) the FV series has really good sound from its built in speakers ,includiing a built in subwoofer etc.

We got the 27fv310 on 4/24/04 and we have been very pleased with it. We are pleased with the built-in speakers as we have external speakers. DVDs via component cable look great. I recommend it. BTW it was on sale for about a week at CC at $170 off msrp with free delivery an haul away

I just purchased the 310 model at $170 off from CC. The 3d comb filter really makes a difference IMHO over the 210 and the 100. I have my DVD player hooked up via Component cable and the picture is amazing for an analog set. Try to catch this one on sale as the MSRP of $599 is a bit steep for a 27" analog. Regards, MrJ
