Hi guys, a family member is looking for some good quality speakers for DJ mixing work at home. He wants active/powered speakers that occupy a small space. Something in the middle of the pack in terms of sound quality and build quality. His budget is around $300 and maybe a bit more. Any recommendations?

do a search on Behringer, M-Audio, Mackie, etc. there are a "bunch" of active monitors on the market, from a hundred bucks to many thousands.
