I have a fairly old VSX07, with no HDMI. I recently added a LGBD300 to the Comcast HD DVR. THe Comcast is hdmi to the Panasonic projector and optical to the receiver. The Blu ray is component to the projector and digital coax to the receiver.

The problem is the sub fires and sounds great, but I no longer see the LFE light come on.


Any ideas?

First of all, I would go HDMI from BluRay and Component from the DVR. Component is more than good enough for the HD DVR but you are only getting 480P from your BluRay player. I'd probably save up for a newer receiver with HDMI as well.


What source are you not getting LFE on?
