Hi jbmorris, HDMI input will NOT output through Component Monitor Out.


Now Component input can output through HDMI Out.

Yes that is correct.


This receiver HDMI Inputs, Component Inputs and Digital Inputs (optical and coaxial) are not assignable.


- Apple Tv connected to HDMI-2 (DTV/CBL)

- Cable Box connected to Comp-C (DVR)

- DVD player connected to Comp-A (DVD)

- connect HDMI cable from receiver "HDMI Out" to Tv "HDMI In"

- set Video Conversion to "On" under Video Settings


With HDMI connection (Apple Tv to HDMI-2 and HDMI Out to Tv), is it just video not working or both video and audio not working?


What you might be experiencing is HDCP (handshake) issue.


Does your cable box has HDMI output? If so, this may be the reason why the installer plugged the cable box and dvd player using component input and output.


Maybe try turning on in this order: Tv first, Receiver second and Apple Tv last (allow a few seconds in btw to fully power on) and hopefully HDMI will sync together.
