First things first; did your run the "Trouleshooter" for this device issue?

If the TV is responding too much to commands, under "Troubleshoot" check the setting for "TV responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionaly"

If that doesn't fix it, then we have to look hard at the signal strength and repeat settings.

I have run through the troubleshooter many times to no avail.

Signal strength is not an issue, I'm standing right in front of the TV.

What should I bring my repeat settings down to?

I would start at 0, if that seems too slow, then move up to 1, and so on.

Just to be on the safe side as well, if you have the original remote, try "confirm IR signals" for these commands. It will ask for three commands to verify.

Each update is about 20 minutes. I'd like to get it right the first time lol

OK then, we go straight to 0.

I have to ask, is 20 minutes the full time, or just the time it takes after you click "Update Remote", because that is VERY Long, my 880s take about 2-3 minutes to update. I'm simply hoping there is not another issue at play here.

The iR extender takes about 2-3 minutes, then the harmony takes around 10 minutes, plus all the time that I have dinking around with settings each time.

There are around 10 devices on it.

That is a very long time, 10 mins for the harmony makes me wonder....It definitely sounds like a Pain In The A.. to make changes!

The delays were already at 0. I thought I was going to have time this weekend to play with it but so far I haven't.

I set the inter-key delay to 4000 and that seemed to help the problem but makes the remote really slow.

Hello Again AnthonyB,

I know its a "PITA" updating your Harmony, but you might want to try "teaching" your Harmony those commands from the original remote. Just do a quick button press on the OEM remote when teaching. Sometimes the Harmony database gets "off" commands loaded to it. Some people may have "taught" their Harmonys long presses, and it got uploaded into the database.

You could also try reducing the inter-key delay down to 3000, or even 2000. Those are both long time delays.

Let us know how it works for you.
