Hello All,
I'm about to incorporate my PC into my home theater in order to use its DVD playback and HD reception. However, I've been experiencing a MAJOR problem-- my Hauppauge WIN-TV HD card for some reason is giving me no audio on digital channels. I can get audio on analog channels if I configure output to "Line out" but when it's set on "Wave Out" I get nothing from either digital or analog, and when it's on "SPDIF" I get no analog audio but curiously, when it loads i hear a second or two of choppy audio from a digital station, then it chokes on it and goes silent when the channel video is finally displayed. I've spent hours on the phone with the Hauppauge tech support guys, who eventually told me to install the new release candidate driver/software package they were going to send me. Well, I did a fresh install with that disc and guess what-- The problem's still there. I REALLY need some insight on this one, guys! Here's my setup, just so you can get a feel for it:
-Pentium 4 @ 1.8 Ghz
-256 Megs PC 800 RDRAM
-60 Gig hard drive, about 20 Gigs empty
-Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1 Sound Card
-Altec-Lansing 4.1 gaming Dolby Digital setup (in 2-speaker "Near Field") configuration
-nVidia GeForce 3 64mb DDR
relevant software
-WinTV 2000 (for the Hauppauge card)
-Windows XP Professional
Help!!
