I am having some touble with my Graphics 400.
I´ve had the following problem: After approx. 15 minutes the picture started flickering. So I took a Cooling (Ice-) spray and looked if the situation changed when I cooled down several parts. After I found the defect part (the HV splitter), I cooled it down a bit more with the spray.
Then it happened.... The projector switched off, and I can´t turn it on again.
When I switch it on, there is a high sound (as from a pipe), the fans do not turn and among the 3 yellow LEDs on the focus board only one is glimmering a bit.
The green LED on the SMPS flickers slowly and is shining only low.
The melting fuses (are they called like hat?) are all o.k.
When I read the circuit diagram right, I cooled down the two resistors onthe surface of the splitter (a pot and a fixed resistor) down too much, so that the current gor very high and the CRT current protection made the proj switch off. I could see that the picture of the tubes got VERY bright.
Is the projector in a kind of protective mode? How do I get it working again?
Thank you for your help
Gerhard
