Hi to all,


Having some major problems with my VPH1020QM,I can't get the blue lines horizontal with the red and green. I have run out of electrical convergence and it isn't even close. I don't have a manual to setup the mechanical convergence and this is really getting to the point of buying a new unit,


BUT have to wait a little longer (6 months) and work out which unit will replace this one,any suggestions would be appreciated-no budget.

You need to loosen and rotate the deflection yoke. It should be the apparatus that's closest to the CRT face on the neck of the blue CRT. Be careful! Wear safety glasses and gloves!

Thanks for the advice,worked like a charm. There are two collars on the neck of the CRT,what does the other one do?

Probably the centering/Astigmatism magnet assembly. If you feel like getting into these adjustments, do a search on "stig" in this forum. Pay special attention to posts by Guy Kuo. He has done several excellent write-ups on tweaking these magnets.
