Greetings
I'm looking at purchasing the denon HTIB (s-101 or 301) for it's ease of installation and limited amount of wires and speakers to place but am wondering if it is the best choice given the room.
primary criteria
1. minimal amount of wires (i don't want to see any and putting them in the walls is not an option))
2. good sound for CDs, movie DVDs, ipod (although I'm not an audiophile)
3. minimal presence of speakers (i can build a cabinet under the tv for the front speakers and sub, but if there are rear speakers, they should be barely noticeable)
4. under $1500
the room
1920 living room/dining room
about 30' long and 11' wide
lathe/plaster and wood paneled walls
oak floors

TVs I'm considering
TV-Panasonic TH-42PHD8UK
Panasonic TH-42PX60U
TV-Panasonic TH-50PHD8UK
I realize that I won't get the best sound from an HTIB but this unit looks attractive to me because I won't have to figure out how to run wires (outside the walls) or place 6+ speakers in an awkward space. I also like the fact that it accepts HDMI ( i assume this is important with the new plasma) and it works with my ipod (primary source of audio)
Are there other simple options that would be more appropriate for my space and just as easy to configure and install?
thanks in advance for any suggestions
