So I need to upgrade my side and rear surrounds. Presently the small polks I have are mounted at ear level (sides) and are about 6' from the listening position. Rears are also small and about 7' from the listening position. When I say small, I mean real small. 3" drivers in a tiny enclosure...they were part of a HTIB set from years ago.

I was thinking bi-pole for the sides, but not sure if thats the best choice for the rears. I have to mount them up and above the sitting area because the rear of the sitting area is open (no back wall)....

I was looking at the Fluance XLBP Wide dispersion surrounds and the ES1S for the Mono surround. They get good reviews and are nicely priced. Since I need 4, I have to be budget wise in my decision making.

Are 4  like monos a better way to go?

Room is appx 14x20x8 (ceilings)

The rest of my components are in my signature.

Thanks a bunch!.........and any onther suggestions for speaker brand are welcomed, but keep in mind $400. for all 4 is about my limit.
