I got my Panasonic AE100 in yesterday, set it up mounted on a flat platform i built at the back of my room. at the current position, the projector's smallest image is one that measures 43"x76"... i can't make it any smaller than that, and i really dont want to make it any bigger.

I called Da-Lite and they said they can build a custom Model-B screen for me, but I need to know something. Should I order a screen with a viewing area of 43"x76" or something a little bigger or smaller? Bear in mind I got the 43"x76" by walking up to the wall and actually measuring the projected image from a DVD.

Unless you wanted to do something different like zooming in the projector for 4:3 material, I don't see why a custom one would be bad. Many people have said a well-fit screen with no border showing looks quite good and makes the image pop out more.

You might as well go with a 45x80 screen that is a standard size and only a bit bigger than what you want.
