I'm experiencing regular audio dropouts of my S/PDIF signal from my Delta 410 while playing back ripped DVDs in TheaterTek AND while watching live OTA HDTV in MyHD.

The problem doesn't seem to occur when watching DVDs from the local DVD-ROM drive in TheaterTek.

I'm running the 0.31 beta drivers for the M-Audio Delta 410 card.

Video card is a Radeon 9500 with Catalyst 3.6 drivers.

OS is WinXP Pro, SP1, all patches installed.

PC specs are as follows:

Case: Kanam Accent HTPC Case

Power Supply: 430W Antec TruePower (2 fans; quiet)

Motherboard: Asus P4PE motherboard

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.8MHz CPU

CPU Cooling: Thermaltake Copper

Case Cooling: Thermaltake Smart Case Fan

Hard Disk: Western Digital Caviar 10 GB IDE HDD (OS only)

Video Card: Radeon 9500 with Catalyst 3.6 drivers

Sound Card: M-Audio Delta 410 Card

HDTV Tuner Card: MyHD MDP-100 Card

Capture Card: FlyVideo 2000

DVD playback is over the LAN from a separate RAID server.

It is strange that the problem is occurring with both TheaterTek and MyHD, which suggests a problem with the soundcard drivers. I have tried uninstalling and/or disabling the onboard audio drivers that came with the Asus P4PE motherboard, but they always seem to reinstall upon reboot.

Default audio in WinXP is set to the M-Audio SPDIF.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

Ken

Well, upgrading to the newly posted 0.36 M-Audio drivers fixed the audio droputs when using MyHD, but introduced horrible lipsync issues in TheaterTek. Lipsync was lessened or eliminated if I selected DirectSound - Default or DirectSound-MAudio SPDIF options in TT, but selecting either option caused profound video stutter issues.

I'll try to read through the stutter thread to see if I can do some troubleshooting.
