I am using a 16:9, 54"x96" screen that is mounted 18" from the floor. Currently my projector (Barco 1208s) is sitting on a stand on the floor and the top of the projector is 26" from floor. Projector is level and almost no raster shift to center the picture.

If I were to level mount the projector from the ceiling this would say that I would only have 64" clearance under the projector. Furthermore, with a 9'6" ceiling height, the mount would need to hang about 35" down from the ceiling.

I prefer to stay with the 18" - 22" bottom height for the screen, it is much more comfortable viewing.

Can the Scheimpflug Adjustment aid in correcting the focus if the projector is mounted closer to the ceiling and pitched downward? For every 10" up I move the projector, I need to change the pitch by 4.3 degrees. I could pull the screen out at the bottom, every 1" is about 1 degree.

Does anyone have experience with similar situations?
