Hi,

I have been using my ATI (Built-by) Radeon 9700Pro 's DVI-D output to the NEC HT-1000 for a while. Suddenly, last night the colour of the picture become weired, black turn into red, blue into purple, etc.. the 'shape' of the screen is there but the 'colour' is all wrong!!! I have replace the card with another display card (a 9000Pro) and the problem gone... I then install the Radeon 9700 Pro in another HTPC and the problem is there! So I guess the problem source is the Radeon 9700 display card. Do you guys know what went wrong? I guess the problem is pretty much related to hardware problem because the colour is wrong when I just turn on the computer and those BIOS information is showing.. not only wrong in Windows XP...

Thank in advance for any help.

Perhaps it is just a bad card?

The card is toast, you will never know, just RMA the badboy and go on, been thru MANY a video card, and that sounds like a capacitor or the like went bad.
