Hey all,

After months and months of trouble free, perfect operation since Tim and Wm's work on my PJ, I've just had my first (maybe) serious problem. I just moved to a new house, where I had the pj setp and working beautifully on the floor for the last 2 weeks. Last night I flipped it for ceiling mounting (and reversed the scan, obvioulsy), put it on the mount, and fired it up.

Got a strange buzzing the first time it powered on, then the V Fail light in the back lit up. Its been on and off intermittently since, but i cannot get the tubes to fire up at all.

Hoping for a DIY fix...I'm missing the picture already!

Thanks

There was a recent post where one of the pins on the plugs to reverse the scan was not in the plug (as in the plug was shifted to the right just one slot.) I did the same thing on my Ehome with very little light and once I double checked the plugs with a flash light in hand, I found the problem.

Let us know if this helps.

Well, that officially qualifies as my most boneheaded mistake to date in this hobby...but you've got to love any fix that requires nothing more than a flashlight!!

Thanks for the help, Robert...that did the trick.

I think we all have many such "events" in our lives.

Don't you just admire the hell out of a Projector that will let you completely screw up and not self destruct? What other electronic component will let you totally botch a connection and still come back to life when it's corrected? Not many - that's why E-homes are the greatest... ;)

I'll resist the temptation to be offended by being the idiot in this particular example of an idiot-proof piece of gear....and instead join in admiration of the machine.

Clearly someone at Ehome covered the "bone-headed tweaker" use case.
