Well, I just got done watching the MLB ALL-STAR Game in glorious HD when all of a sudden "CLICK" and my screen went black on my Pioneer Elite Pro-1120HD Plasma panel. It just stopped period. I didn't touch a thing. It will not power up. Now the Red Power light in the bottom LH corner flashes 7 times then stops for 3-5 seconds and repeats.....

Uh-oh. Can someone please tell me what the seven flash error code means? Has this ever happened to you?

I bought the TV brand new in Early 2005 and it probably sees 6 hours a day of use on average. Warranty is surely up so I am curious how bad this is gonna hurt my wallet to have repaired.

Please help, any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Surap - Thanks for your smart-ass, useless response.

Anyway, I did have a service tech come out and confirm Y-Drive Assy Part # AWV-2082 is fried and needs to be replaced for total cost of $550.75. $260.14 for the board, $275.00 labor and $15.61 tax

Won't be buying any Pioneer products anymore. This should be covered under warranty but Pioneer Customer Service says no.

They just lost a life-long customer. I own multiple Elite AV receivers, CD/DVD players and tvs and car audio items and will never buy another. Not sure if I will even waste my money fixing the plasma which cost me $6K in 2005.

Exacty how can you be pissed at a manufacturer that tells you they are not going to cover repair costs from something that is 2 years out of warranty? I don't know of any company that would do that.

Next time, get an extended warranty since you cannot cope with life in the 21st century electronic age.
