Hi Guys

Come up with another problem with my 9500LC.

Days ago I was trying to adjust magnets after installing VDC rebuilt tubes on my 9500, which I was doing for 3wks to get best out of it.

Green, red were good but blue was real ****. Almost impossible to make round little dot shape.

Suddenly PJ died..pushed power button on remo..PJ sounded click, click and click on and on but never power up. Something gone wrong.

I remembered playing a lot with focus to make good dots..maybe stress failure..swapped focus module from another 9500LC..power up good.

Is it possible to repair the focus board?

Or should I replace it? if so anyone have a FCM for sale?

You might try a close examination of the defective board, checking for the usual like bad or potentially bad solder connections or obvious component damage. Then clean it up and try reinstalling it to see if it will work.

Mine was flaky like that and I found that it was sensitive to the position I held it, or last installed it. Resoldering several areas on the board took care of the problem. Sorry but I don't recall specifically which ones as this was several months ago.
