I live in Dallas and would like to have my projector set up correctly for home theater use. I'm using an old Srewart screen (4:3, 99" diagonal) that I acquired about 8 years ago for use with an Ampro CRT projector and main sitting location is about 13' from the screen. I am using a DVDO Iscan V2, thinking about replacing it with a Faroujda Native Rate processor for the G15 (though most threads suggest a HTPC). My inputs are a Pioneer CLD-99 laser disk player, RCA DTC100 receiver for broadcast & satellite HD reception and a Panasonic DVD-A110 U/CA player (Svideo connection, no component).
I've read about JVC's factory tweaking, Dillard software, etc. Any suggestions as to how I could have someone (or myself) set the projector up to provide the best possible picture (ship it somewhere or someone in the Dallas/Plano area do it)?
Also any help with suggestions for a screen (Grayhawk and should it be 16:9 or 4:3); DVD player; and as mentioned above a processor and somehow having the projector set up correctly.
Thanks,
Neil
