Help getting started with my ReplayTV

Hi, just bought an open box panasonic replaytv that is the 30hr one. Unfortunately it didn't come with all the accessories. What it did come with is a remote, and the ac adapter. The question is. Is there anything else i might need to get started?? I have a satellite dish. I don't have a manual either. Is it important to get one.. or is it easy to work with? thanks in advance

I think you can find a manual online at www.panasonic.com.

You'll need either an IR Blaster or a serial cable to connect the PVR to the satellite converter so that it can change the channels.

You'll also need an extra phone cable so the unit can dial in for guide info.....I would suggest 10+ ft....but you may need more/less depending on how close the phone plug that you use for your satellite system (you may also want to get a phone line splitter to divide the phone signal too)

total cost for cable and splitter: ~$14

Oh and if it came with NO other accessories than what you mentioned.....you will need some RCA audio/video cords (or an S-Video cable if you can use it) to use the unit.
