i need help hooking up to my comcast modem i want to hook up my computer and xbox to my modem but there is only one ethernet plug on the modem somebody told me i could get a switch but when i went to bb today they did not know what i was talking about.right now i am just upluging in the one i want to use but i am affraid i may wear out the inputs with all that uplugging and plugging in.THANK YOU

Buy an inexpensive cable/dsl router, should be around $30-$40 and it'll give you at least 4 ports (1 for your computer, 1 for your Xbox360 and 2 extras). Plug the cable modem ethernet into the routers WAN port and your pc and 360 into the routers LAN ports.


You'll be able to use both at the same time and won't have to switch cable plugs constantly.
