Hi,

Well, I did my convergence on 6PG "by the book", all warmup and other stuff was done before I started working on it. Everything worked perfect.

Now I started noticing that if projector is fresh that day (turned on for the first time that day) the amplitude (horizontal and vertical) is wider by at least 5 inches on each side than when projector has completely warmed up! Why the heck this is happening. Is there a way to avoid this daily amplitude adjustment? Convergence drifts a tiny bit too.

Forgot to mention, projector is in a custom cabinet which does have a decent ventilation.

If the height does not drift, I'd suspect a bad cap in the H output stage (deflection board). If the height drifts too, then maybe a drifting power supply. Try monitoring the power supply voltages with a meter as the set is warming up.

Maybe Doug Baisey has other ideas...

Height and width changes. Both about the same amount.

This PJ has like 300 hours, no more than that.

Does it drift slowly or does it "snap to"?

I don't have an answer, but am experiencing a snap to after about an hour on my horizontal amplitude.
