The reception on my replay hts-2000 wasn't clear, so i pulled out the antennae. However, the pin in the middle of the coaxial cable broke off and stayed inside the antanea input. I cannot pull the pin out it is in too deep. what do you recommend? should i open the unit? will it help? what do i do?

Now that's annoying, but now you know why your reception was bad (bad connection with the broken coax). I don't have that model, but the first thing to do is try some sharp tweezers to pull out the wire. You don't want to damage the coax cable input so be careful with the tweezers. If you still can't get it out, you will probably find yourself wanting to replace the coax input which is generally not too difficult (one solder connection) or expensive (I think about $2) but I haven't opened up a Replay unit to see how it is mounted.

You are most likely SOL with replacing the Coax input. It is part of the tuner.
