I would like to use one application to record from my PMS sweetspot, and a hdtv tuner. I havent purchased my hdtv tunder card yet, so am flexible in that way. The software also needs to be able to control my directv box, that will be imput through the sweetspot for dscaling. If possible, a pvr with dscaler support and other post processing filters would be awsome. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Unfortunately Sage won't help him. There are only two options for HD PVR, the AccessDTV, and MCE 2005. As for the sweetspot (Euro version of the PDI Deluxe right?) you'll have to look somewhere else to find PVR software that supports software encoders.

Yes, the sweetspot and the pdi deluxe are the same card. I would like to retain it for recording from my directv box, and other sources, as its input is excedingly clean. I have been watching more and more local CBS high defintitio programming, and would like to start archiving it, and would prefer to use one pvr software for both. Is there an hdtv tuner card with a better input than the pms card? That would solve the problem.

Sage works with ADTV, and the PDI deluxe (did they remove it in 2.0?), even though it's a software card... also, there has been much talk in the forums about support for the various HD cards....

Well I don't think the ADTV support survived the 2.0 upgrade. As for the PDI Deluxe, did you ever try it? Some software cards (AIW) have been known to show up in the setup wizard, but they never worked. As Sage doesn't support software encoding or raw display, I don't know how the PDI deluxe would have worked.

the PDI worked in 1.4, have not tried it in 2.0....

I must say I'm baffled by that. Do you mean you could record? Was it compressed? Raw? Was it only live?

worked like any other software card.... I used it briefly with Huffyuv... but I just checked, 2.0 doesn't support it....

You've got me really curious. How did you configure it? I mean IIRC Sage didn't have any settings for encoder.
