So I purchased a 60inch Panasonic and brought it home to realize the TV was absolutely horrendously big. Yes, too big. So I am down sizing to a 50inch TV so my living room doesn't look like an episode of Looney Tunes.

I am looking at an Insignia ns-51p680a12 and an LG PV50-400 (from Costco, which I assume is a 50PV450?).

I am leaning toward the LG right now because of the insane Costco warranty (2 years + 3 years for just $60).

I am mainly going to use this for Netflix streaming, blu-ray playback all running off an HTPC. Which seems like the better TV? Any opinions?

Any help would be appreciated, since I've never owned either brand.

Well I do know the Insignia is a Samsung panel similar to the PN51D530. Something to consider. Although, with both LG and Insignia, glare must be controlled due to glossy screens.
