Hi Forum,

I'm new to this forum, so hoping you guys can help.
I recently purchased Kef 205's the first version with the Hyper Tweeter, I was listening to some music last night - thought I would turn it up and then my amp shut off and said please check speaker wiring. FYI amp Yamaha DSP z7
I did the setup check through the amp all was good - carried listening to music same happened again.
I checked all speakers driver working - then I realised that one the Hyper tweeter had blown
I have other q speakers which i could remove the hyper tweeter from - but I cannot see how to remove the hyper tweeter - searched a lot online this morning and cannot find anything to see how to safely remove this

Can any one please ?

Will be be forever grateful

Uni q and hyper tweeter removal

Contact Kef. I would guess you access the hypertweet mounting by removing the top Q driver. Just a guess though.[/quote]
Yeap emailed kef this morning.

I like DSP z7, it will get replaced when I have budget.
I looking at getting bryston power amp to run them at some point.

The problem with the UNI q drive there are no visible screws to get that driver out, but has three tabs but no screws?????

Somebody must of had this issue ?
