I just replaced the foam on the woofers of my old Dahlquist DQM 9 speakers. I used to use them only for stereo listening but I am now using them as the main front speakers of my 5.1 system.
Does anybody have a recommendation for a center speaker? Something that would match the DQM 9 speakers. I'm trying to avoid the so called timbre issues. I was looking at the Polk CS10 and CS20 center speaker. My budget for the center speaker is $150 to $250. Next upgrade item is a subwoofer. I'm using the Monoprice subwoofer at this time. Actually, what will match or at least come close to matching the DQM-9s for center, surround and subwoofer? Anything in the $600 to $1000 range?
