Ok - So I've been debating it for a few days and the sale I've been following is about to end.

Panasonic Viera TC-P54S2 - $1099.99

I've read a lot of these forums and opinions are all over the place on the S2's...so help me make up my mind please. Buy it? Don't buy it?

Thanks Cory. The G series isn't an option for me. Basically I am going to be buying through Dell, with whom I carry a good amount of credit and I personally have never had an issue with over 5 computers and 2 TV's. So my choices are limited to what they carry and they do not appear to carry the G series.

I've never owned a plasma before but find myself loving my father in-law's plasma. My old LCD is going to be dying very soon (has a nice lime green streak running vertically through it that keeps growing).

I do have some other options, depending on how much I want to spend...but really, I don't want to be floating above $1500. If anyone is up for a nice project, feel free to visit Dell's website and check their TV selection for a "better choice" below $1500. I am ashamed, amongst all of the very knowledgeable people on this forum, to admit that my knowledge of HDTV ends with "I sure like how they look and I know how to press the buttons on the remote". I'm not inept, just never really looked into it too much up until the last few days.
