I have been using my A1 for HD-DVD and my Pioneer elite DV 59avi for regular dvd, (also for 5.1 music, but not as important to me as movies). The A1 just died. Question is, Is the XA2 as good as (or better than) the Pioneer for standard DVD? If so, then I get an XA2 and sell the Pioneer. If not, I get an A2 and keep the Pioneer. Any ideas on this scenario? Any other suggestions? thanks

XA2 just might be the best DVD player on the market.

From what I've read, the XA2 is the easy winner.
