I have tried both Power DVD v 5 and Ultra DVD software DVD palyers on my HTPC and it keeps skipping. I have tried restoring in XP, removing the player and reinstalling, and nothing seems to work. CD's play fine and it was working in the last 24 hours.

One thing is I was ripping a CD and the system froze and I had to do a reboot but CD's play fine.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
