HELP!! My gf's Sony KV-34HS420 won't turn on!!!

My gf was watching tv, and all of a sudden, it turned off on its own. She would try to turn it back on but she said that she would hear a click like it was turning on, and then another click and it was off. The standby light would turn red for a second and then turn off.. It seems that it turns on for a second, and then immediately shuts off for some reason.


edit: turns out she wasn't completely accurate when she was telling me what was happening.. The indicator actually flashes three times before it turns off.
