I put my first source images through my projector last night which was the exciting culmination of a long effort to get all my equipment. Unfortunately, the image is "folded" off the top and onto the bottom of the screen. In other words, the bottom of the screen is showing what should be the topmost inch of the image, then a horizontal black bar, then the start of the real bottom of the image going upwards to the top of the screen which is missing the top inch of image, because it is on the bottom of the screen, etc....

The convergence screens generated by the projector itself are fine - no folding there. So I am wondering if there is any setup in the NRS that I need, or what? I am sure there must be a simple adjustment for my woes, but since I am new to this, and I need help.

My configuration is a Marquee 8501LC and a Faroudja NRS (set for 720p), projecting on a 16x9 screen. I have performed the anamorphic resistor mods and have adjusted the vertical size to project a 16x9 image. I am hoping someone has a clue as to what I can do. Any help to straighten this out would be greatly appreciated.

try the vertical phase controls on the marquee..and the blanking controls on the old ECPunits could do the same bizarre trick. It may be the same, but i doubt it. i suspect the phase controls more than anything. possibly combined with the blanking controls.

Thanks, the vertical phase control did the trick. I also used the source setup procedure and that seemed to help also. I can see a lot more tweaking in my future.
