Hi

Since I learned about the subtitle provider in mediabrowser I decided to try it out.

Normally I would play my mkv´s with tmt3, but now I figured, why not try playing them in 7mc. With subs...

First I installed the divx tech thingy, only to find that I had no ac3 sound

Uninstalled that one and went for ffdshow x64 along with a haali splitter x64

Now I have sound

But what about subtitles ??? I have checked the subtitle settings in ffdshow videodecoder, but nothing appears

The show is 24, subs are named exactly as the episodes, with the srt extension. But nothing happens.

Please, somebody advise...

Thanks

You can try using MediaControl ( http://damienbt.free.fr/ )

Another option would be to use MPC to play back your mkvs (just tell Media Browser to launch MPC when an mkv is played). This way you don't have to mess around with codecs.
