i have a harman kardon avr 247. it is supposed to be able to use hdmi for audio and video. i get the video but no audio. i have hooked the dvd player straight to the tv and get audio and video. i know that the dvd player settings are right. i have been through all the input setups on the avr but still can't get it to work. is there someone who has this problem and more so an answer to my dilema

I bought a 247 a month ago and it worked fine. Do you have one HDMI cable from your DVD player to the receiver and another HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV. Did you run the EzSet/EQ? Did you setup your inputs through the OSD? HDMI1 and HDMI2. Did you make sure that the video and audio sources for HDMI1 input is HDMI1 (and same deal for HDMI2).
