Help, on the fence with SYNLT37HVS vs. Maxent 42' (or other 42' plasma)

I like the specs of the Syntax SYNLT37HVS, nice resolution, nice price.... Put it is only 37". My wife asked me "I thought you were looking for 42"?"...


Since I don't want to spend more than 2K, closer to 1500, the better, I thought I would get some opinions here. How big of the difference is in PQ between SYNLT37HVS and that Maxent 42" plasma? Any other suggestions for the plasmas?

I just need some opinions, since I am on the fence with this. I have DirecTV right now and thinking about gettering HD. Should I be thinking about upconverter, or what it comes with is just fine for going from DirecTV standard stuff box (not-HD)?
