About one month ago, my Panny suddenly turned off and blinked 7 times. My warranty expired just one month before it dies. So I want to fix it myself first. Thanks for the threads here, I was able to figure out the problem by replacing SD board. Now the TV can be powered on properly, but it shows a vertical black block on the right, about 3" wide (see the pic below). Have tried to replace SS board, C1 board and D board, but none of these solved the problem. Now I'm out of ideas, can anybody help with possible solutions? I really hope it's not the panel.

7 blinks is sd-su-ss boards. id have a technician check it.

It's not the power problem anymore. Now it's the incomplete display issue. Please take a look at the pic in my original post.

Whatever blew in there might have taken part of the panel with it, since panels are driven in sections not as a whole.

Any updates my TH-42PX60U also devloped a 2in vertical bar.
