Help! Panny TH-42PWD6UY: SVGA-component connection results in green image

337 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Maurice2
I have connected the "PC IN" of the TV to a DVD player with a SVGA-to-component cable and the resulting image has an overall very pronounced green color all over. I have checked that the green cable and the blue cable be in their respective outputs on the player and I am at a loss as to how to solve this problem. Please someone help me.

Many thanks.

Look in the manual. You're monitor is set for VGA/computer mode. You have change the VGA input it to component mode. W/o doing that, you'll see a green screen.
On the "PC Input Terminals connection" page (p. 10), the manual says: "Component Input is possible with the pin 1,2,3 of the D-sub 15P Connector." Some people on this forum have also said that the "PC Input" connected to a DVD player via a VGA-to-component cable produced a screen as good as the connection component-to-component, and therefore that the PC Input could be used as a second component connection. If this is so, there is something I am not doing right, but I don't know what it is.
in settings, change from RGB to component, it will be ok then. I had the same problem at first.
