I'm new to the forum, but I've been looking around and it's been some great help.

I have my laptop hooked up to my HTL5076SX 50" samsumg rear projection DLP 1080p tv using vga cable.

My question is..... i've got 1920x1080 to work and everything looks great. the only problem i'm running into is that everyhting seems so small. I've adjusted the font sizes and some websites are still way too small.

I set the resolution to 1024x768 and it makes web browsing amazing.

what is the essential difference between 1920x1080 compaired to 1024x768. My tv will accept almost all resoltions the laptop will throw at it. what do you guys thnk i should set the resoultion at?

what should i do. i'm just looking to browse the web and watch some utube videos.

I downloaded a 1080p video form microsoft the res was 1440x1080...... it looked amazing on 1920x1080 it looked ok at 1024x768... so what is happening. 1920x1080 looks amazing just everthing is too small i'm running a 50" tv what should I do??

adjust the dpi and adjust the font size in the web browser. This should make everything look bigger than normal. Also sites can have their own font type and size. turning that feature off and having your web browser set the font specs up would be another way to help fix this issue.

Try an intermediate resolution, such as 1280x720, 1366x768, or create your own such as 1824x1024, using your graphic card's control panel..
